TOWN OF ALLEGANY
Southern Tier West has been given the opportunity to serve GIS to local
governments via the Internet. In 2000, the Community GIS Program
began through a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission.
Selected communities created new data or gave existing data to Southern
Tier west, which was put into a GIS format that can be seen in a viewer.
From this, communities are able to perform numerous operations with
their data, each according to their own needs. Select a

ATTENTION Community GIS Members . . .
Southern Tier West is currently in
the process of upgrading our GIS Server and Internet Mapping Software.
The CGIS Viewers will be down for the next several weeks. We are hoping
to have the upgrades completed in early May. Results of this upgrade
will see a new physical appearance to the Viewers as well as increased
functionality. In the meantime, if you need a map or data on your
